He discovers that demons are real, and that terrible things can happen right in front of your eyes.

As Grubbs slowly and painfully tries to deal with his new situation, help appears in the form of a friendly, eccentric relative. Grubbs moves to the countryside to recover, and starts putting his life back together. But there are secrets to be uncovered and hard truths to learn, and Grubbs is about to find out that as crazy and deadly as the world now seems, life is about to get a whole lot worse!!!

"Lord Loss" is the first book of "The Demonata", a ten-book series which will take readers into new worlds and universes, all of them populated or threatened by demons. Fast-paced and bloody, horrific and fantastic, frightening and exciting. You might never look at the world in the same way again ...

MY REVIEW:

Twins of Evil [Shaun Hutson]

TITLE: Twins of Evil

AUTHOR: Shaun Hutson

PUBLISHER: Arrow Books in association with Hammer

LANGUAGE: English

DESCRIPTION:
Karnstein Castle stands like a bird of prey on the highest point of the hills that surround the village below. A huge monolithic reminder to all those who see it of the power of the family who have lived there for centuries.

By day the village of Karnstein is a peaceful place, but by night, an unimaginable evil roams free. Villagers are found dead, their throats ripped open and bodies drained of blood. Young girls disappear and are never seen again. Rumour has it that they are taken to the castle for the pleasure of Count Karnstein, the last surviving member of the family.

Into this strange place, come beautiful identical twins Maria and Frieda. While Maria lives a blameless life, Frieda is drawn to the castle and Count Karnstein. A man rarely seen in daylight, a man steeped in Satanic ritual and the blood of beautiful young girls.

Before long Frieda and Karnstein unleash a reign of bloody terror on the villagers, and no one, it seems, is strong enough to stop them.

MY REVIEW:
I didn't know this is an old movie (around 70's if I'm not mistaken) that they turn it to a novel. It's a "novelisation" from an old movie so its understandable the story-line is kinda in a classic vampire style. The story took place in a village and they got this one big castle on top of a hill, and without even telling, immediately you know what is in the castle. This is entirely different from the modern vampire Twilight. Though both this and that story have love drama which I'm not a fan of.
